Fin

This will be the final location. It is under a bridge near downtown Mount Clemens. No one around to possibly comment, but I thought the contrast of the bright yarn and dull rocks would look good.

I have enjoyed this. It is no longer what it was when it started, but I think that is a good thing. Part of what makes these kinds of projects interesting is to see how they evolve. I'm honestly not too surprised that no one was stopping to comment on this. Although I was expecting a little more of a reaction to a brightly colored pendulum. People just generally aren't interested in things of this nature. Is it too out of the ordinary? I'm not sure exactly what it is. Maybe I can come up with something else that will interest people more.

Here are the last pictures.

"What the Hell?"

Today I took the sculpture to Wilson Park. It's the only decent location for this within walking distance. Getting rides is getting to be harder with both of my parents working late and my friends working all the time.

When I was setting this up I saw a kid that couldn't have been much older than 7 look at it and say, "What the hell?" Maybe there is still hope for getting people's reactions to this. Although, other than that comment, I still don't have any reason to hope.

Riverbend

This project has kind of evolved into something new.
Moving this thing around was getting difficult and messy, so I decided to disassemble it. I also realzed that people just aren't interested in it. Now I'll be taking the parts of the original sculpture around to different locations, setting them up, and taking pictures of that. Here is the first one like that, at Riverbend Park.
